What Happens When AI Gets Its Own Computer? Building with Grok Bot
We’ve spent the last few years talking to AI. Asking questions, generating code, writing emails, and getting suggestions.
But what happens when AI gets its own computer?
With tools like Grok Bot, AI is moving beyond the chat window. Give an agent a browser, terminal, filesystem, persistent environment, and access to the tools we use every day, and suddenly it can do much more than answer questions - it can actually perform work.
In this talk, we’ll explore the shift from AI assistants to autonomous AI teammates. Through live examples with Grok Bot, we’ll see how agents can research information, operate applications, execute multi-step workflows, collaborate with other agents, and keep working without someone constantly guiding them.
But giving AI a computer also changes the questions we need to ask. What should an agent be allowed to do? When should it stop and ask for approval? How do we define permissions, boundaries, and trust?
The next generation of AI may not live inside a chat box.
It may have a computer of its own.
